Does Apple NOT Recommend Screen Protectors?

Is it true that Apple does not recommend the screen protector as to not interfere with the touch display, I read one of the reviews where this was indicated?

If not, does anyone know a good anti glare screen protector available for the iPhone 4?

Most of them do not interfere with the touch capability. However, Apple would be in the best position to not recommend them as a testament to the screen's quality.
