Hi,

I've just ordered an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2. I would like to use one of those hard plastic screen protectors as there is no risk of bubbles and I can fit them easily, I've been happy using them on my iPhones. But I watched a YouTube video where the person said they become really bad for iPads because they distort the colours and affect the responsiveness of the Apple Pencil. I will not be using it for art, predominantly for notes and some sketches etc. Does anyone have any experience or advice on this?

I have one of these fitted and it works great with the Apple Pencil 2

Fantastic! I have to ask... some of the reviews of Amazon UK are critical.

It CAN. The first glass protectors were TERRIBLE. I have settled on a set at Amazon (linked below) that is thin and had no issues at all. Films should work just fine. I have Paperlike on order...but they are backlogged right now. Hoping for early June.

I have no issues with Paperlike protectors. I have used them since their first product and I love them for the feel the produce under the pencil. I have not used others though.

I have a glass screen protector on my Mini 5 and had one for quite a long time on my 12.9" 2018 iPP. No problems at all with either. The brand seems to matter. The amFilm tempered glass ones have worked extremely well for me.

I've ordered and received and both and hope to try them when I open the iPad. Thank you!

I don’t think you will have any problems using one with a screen protector, especially a glass one

heard using on a glass screen protector makes writing less smooth

From my research I found that while the Pencil will still work with a tempered glass protector, there is some line wobble, more noticeable when going slow and using pens/fine brushes. If you’re just taking notes it might not be an issue, but if you’re an illustrator you might want to go with the film style protectors.

Or maybe things have improved since.

Hi Kamikazee,

Are there any protectors that don’t have this problem?
