Hi guys! My AirPods which are coming to an end of the 1 year warranty, is experiencing issues with the Right AirPod. It sometimes disconnects and connects again (I think it’s the sensors). Will Apple repair the AirPod or replace it with a set of refurbished ones like they did with my Apple Watch?

I’m afraid that the battery life will be really good on the right side and bad on the left. I use them 2 hours everyday at the gym and I’m afraid of having to keep track of both of them at a time.

has anyone experienced a replacement before? I would really hate to be without my AirPods for a week if they send it off.

From what I’ve heard, even if you go in and get a “battery” service done, they just give you a new one since these aren’t serviceable. I could be wrong, but if I’m not mistaken that is what I’ve read before.

My 1st gen AirPods did not last for more than 3 hours and it was nearly the end of my one year warranty. Went to a local Apple Store, told them about the problem, they just replaced both AirPods (not the case) no questions asked.

Those things have glue on them... there is no repairing them. Probably goes in the mouth of a baby whale once their life is done. If you are having problems get them replaced asap since they usually lose their charge after 1.5 years and start working funny. At least mine did.

So I’m an idiot. Turns out I bought them in September of last year! I remember it being cold when I bought them, so I figured I bought them in November. This late warm weather is throwing me off lol.
