I hate the iPhone 6/iOS 9 more than Windows 8. Can I take it to a nearby Apple store for a direct replacement? I want the iPhone 5S, but only if I can get it with iOS 8.

Otherwise, Android is the only option left. And yes, I will exercise that option.

What is the problem with iOS 9 on iPhone 6? Apple probably still sells them with iOS 8 but not 8.4(.1) so it will be worse than iOS 9. But hey if you are not happy with what Apple delivers change there is no harm in it.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know if Apple sells refurb iPhone 5S with warranty? If so, do you have a ballpark figure?

Many people love the iPhone 6/iOS 9. I'm not one of them. I'll leave my comments at that.

Apples website says 5s and iOS 9. You maybe lucky and get one with iOS 8, but I would think it's a crapshoot.

the last two replacement i got had 8.4.1 fwiw

Can confirm my iPhone 5S replacement also was on 8.4.1 (2 weeks ago). I was pretty hype about that because I was on 8.3 Jailbroke previously. Now I have to deal with apple's crap music experience ruining app though. Need to jailbreak again to get rid of that.

Just curious, but why would you not want security vulnerabilities in iOS 8 to be patched on your phone?

I just came from Android. It's terrible over there. The updates are few and far between even on the unlocked Google phones.

Because 8.4.1 blows iOS 9 out of the water when it comes to speed
