I think by now anyone who's going to be placing an actual preorder and not an appointment knows which watch they want so there wouldn't be a need to keep the store up any longer than usual.

No. No part of the store site is accessible while it's down. You just get a main store front page in multiple languages to say the store is temporary down and will be back up soon.
