I am going to be purchasing a AppleTV shortly but am concerned with one thing. I use a Universal Remote (specifically a Harmony Remote, the H688). I am wondering if the Apple Remote using standard IR and as well if it will work with a Harmony Remote or other universal remotes?

If :apple: TV is IR, then the Harmony "should" control it, but that will entail manual programming/training, as I seriously doubt that Logitech's got the codes yet.

The nice thing with the Harmony, it's a snap to program.

I learned the Apple Remote with my Crestron IR Learner and am now controlling it using my touchpanels around the house. Works like a charm.

So yeah, it will work with universal remotes.
