Does At&t Charge for Windows Messenger use?

i'm about to purchase the iphone 3G but im opting out of the text messages.

If i use the Windows Messenger thru the Iphone, Will i get charged Text cost?

Currently i have a Sprint BB with Text Blocked but i can use the windows live messenger @ no extra cost.

I'll appreciate any info any1 may have.

If you use a third party app, then no, it sends over the internet and not SMS.

Use im+ from the app store, it's free and pretty good
