when i preordered my phones, i had two holds on my card for the amount. but now i noticed they are gone, and they didn't show up on my credit card statement. do they charge it to the at&t account instead?

no, they either had a temp hold that will go through once it's shipped, or your orer was cancelled...you're getting charged dont get too excited

i've spent an hour trying to figure this out. the statement they mailed with the shipment did say it was charged to x9685 though...which seems to check out, except i have no charges?

Well, it's certainly not canceled, as I've had my phone since Friday. I am interested as to when AT&T is going to actually put the charge through, since it shipped last Wednesday, and I've had the phone for 3 days, but have not yet been charged.
Still waiting to be charged, as well.

last year i paid 400 for the iphone 4 with early upgrade costs. i thought that meant i'd be locked in for another 2 years, but AT&T never moved back my upgrade time 2 years, and i was eligible for a new upgrade last march.
so it seems AT&T can glitch. unless i was misinformed, and the 400 early upgrade doesn't lock you in.

As mentioned above the other charges that dropped off were just temporary charges that usually release in 7-10 days. When the white iPhone 4 was released it took Apple around a week to finally charge my card after the charges dropped off.
