lol you have no idea what you are talking about... I have had every iphone since the beginging and have spent maybe $500 for all of them...
1st year - $200
2nd year - sell for $450/buy new $650, -$400
3rd year - sell for $450/ buy for $200, -$150
4th year - sell for $450/buy for $650, -$350
5th year - sell for $450/buy for $200, -$150
6th year - sell for $450/buy for $650, -$350
7th year - sell for $450/buy for $200, -$150
see a trend here?...I have sold MANY iPhone since the original release, you will always get $400-$500 for your phone. The worst time to sell is now, give it a month after the 5s comes out and prices will go back up. It has happened every year and will continue to. I have had multiple copies of each release of the phone due to various wheeling and dealings, especially with a couple loop holes i found that are still activeThe above trend though is rock solid, its a given and should be done...
According to the numbers above which a very close to what happened every year give or take $25-$50 i gave the $500 i am down since the original iphone purchase. More than likely though i am only down $300ish. These new plans the carrier are release are a joke, give us your old phone for next to nothing!!
This.
I upgrade every year and about a month after upgrading I sell my previous iPhone and it pretty much leaves me paying $150-200 for a new phone. Like getting a new subsidy every year. Purchased my iPhone 5S for $299+$250, so $549 plus tax, and sold my iPhone 5 for $420ish. Didn't even cost $200 to upgrade. Probably will do the same this year as well.
