I would think they would have the 3G models only and not the WiFi. I wouldn't think they would have WiFi because they couldn't sell their data service. I could be wrong, though.

They didn't stock wifi-only ipad1's, no reason to think they'd change direction for ipad2.

That makes sense, in so far as they get you into a contract with the 3G models. It makes no economic sense to have a device occupy retail space when there's no profit in it for ATT

My VZW store only has 3G models (though they sold wifi iPad 1's 🙂) - so I am sure ATT would be the same.

They sold the wifi model because the 3G iPad1 was GSM only and you had to buy the mifi to get 3G

For what it's worth, wireless.att.com only shows 3G models.

I would NOT count on any wifi-only units being available in-store @ ATT

Thanks for info, i may get it from AT&T just to avoid the lines, figure itvwill help for resale to have 3g
