Does barrel require winterboard?

I usually hit install and see if it says it will install winterboard, but in the case with paid apps I have to purchase it first, then hit install.

I don't want it if requires winterboard....can anyone tell me?

No. Barrell goes in your settings. It fixes winterboard choppiness, but that is a different issue.
