I see lots of people talking about this online, but they mainly seem to be old threads. Many people claim that you can trade in older bose headphones for the new models for $89.

The QC25's just were announced, and if I can trade my QC15's and $90 for them, I definitely would do that.

Anyone have any information about this program if it still exists, or information about when it ended?

Ask Bose or an authorized Bose retailer.

I asked Bose, and he said that there is no trade up program yet, but there will be in a few weeks. He was just a sales rep, so this might not be correct.

He also told me that something had to be broken on my current headphones. The cushion on top is kind of coming loose, and he said that should be fine.

hi guys, i also would like to upgrade my 15s…butt here is nothing wrong with them, they are basically mint as I babied them all this time. Does that mean i won't be able to upgrade?

I've used buybackworld to trade in my used bose headphones for cash (paypal).
It pays to sell them and then just use the cash for the upgrade.
You can also try selling them on craigslist or ebay, but it is not easy unless you have the original paperwork since many people are wary of fakes. Too bad the Apple trade in program does not support Bose!

You can trade in older headphones for the ewer models. I traded in a very old set today for the Quiet Comfort 2.5 model. They are a good step up from my older headphones. Note - the store clerk looked for damage - mine had ear pads that were coming apart. And you don't get the new headphones for $90. I got an $89 discount on the new headphones.

If yours are in the first year warranty, you may get something bette.
