Does Camera Roll Create Album In iPhoto?

I'll be getting an iPhone in the next few days and I was wondering if it does that or if it just dumps them into my library and last roll,

If you're on a mac, it will open iPhoto and ask you to import the photos, just like a regular camera. Unless you remove the photos after import, every time you plug in to sync, it will open iPhoto and ask for the import.
