Does email complication show unread count in os4 ?

As per the title really.

I know that the messages complication with Os4 update now shows an unread count (long overdue) , but my question is , have Apple seen sense & updated the stock email complication with an unread count. Or do we have OS5 for that ?

Nope. The only mail complication is the small circular icon one. It's just the image of the envelope still.

Cheers for that. Seemed daft to me this was never the case from launch , along with the messages complication. So Apple see sense & add to messages , however still omit on email. Odd decision in my opinion.
