Haven't tested it but pressing brings you to the app. You have to pull down the notification.because I just read an article that says the recent update does include this with pictures to prove it but for me its still go straight to the app if I press quick reply.
Anyone?
weird, it just takes me to the app as it does for OP.The latest update has enabled quick reply. It doesn't look quite the same as messages - when I pull down the notification I don't see a text box immediately. It shows a reply button. When I click the reply button, the quick reply text box and keyboard appear instead of the messenger app opening. Works great. Now I just need whatsapp to do the same. Not holding my breath!
weird, different versions for different regions then? latest is 40.0 here in uk market and no quick reply is available.I'm using version 37.0 and quick reply is definitely activeView attachment 588630View attachment 588631View attachment 588632

yeah I do wonder. however my gf on 9.0.1 on the latest messenger doesn't get quick reply either (I've checked). be strange if it only works on 9.0.2?Hmmm... Does that wallpaper mean you are running iOS 9.1 beta 3? I'm just a peasant on 9.0.2. Wonder if that is the difference?
Thanks for your replies guys.
Could it be working just in the US at the moment? I'm on 9.0.2 and I'm in Canada and still no luck. On my iPad it support slide over and split screen but quick reply still dont work also. Weird.
Same thing for me.Not working for me. Messenger 38.0 and iOS 9.1. I get a thumbs up button?

Is that really what that option does? I recall it being there even before quick reply was introduced and mainly relating to being able to reply with a (usually predefined) message to an incoming call. Are you able to use quick reply with other apps like Twitter, Telegram, WhatsApp or Tweetbot4?
Have you checked your Settings > Touch ID & Password > Reply with Message. Is that turned on?
