Everything I’ve seen so far consists of a very specific and exaggerated vertical positioning to unlock. (Reminds me of how I often have to do an annoyingly exaggerated “raise” to get my Apple Watch screen to come on just to check the time - drives me nuts!)

But what about odd angles on a desk or counter? Or landscape? Or upside down?

Most reviewers are starting to say Face ID is hit and miss. Works most of the time, but is that good enough?

Despite all the claims from people who say that identical twins don't fool Face ID... I saw a CNN video demo last night of exactly that.

Twin females... one's face unlocked the other.

Beware of evil twins. 🙂

That's what I was afraid off with Face ID.
This can get old after a while with having to pick up the phone and hold it a certain way to let you in.

We are creatures of habit, we mostly hate change when we already have something working OK. At start it will suck, but we do the new thing. After a month we don't notice anymore, because it is the new habit and when DNA ID pops up, we will have to adapt again. Maybe it is one of the reasons Apple didn't do touch and face id, because we would just keep using touch id most of the time.

Yes but I dont want to get used to a new habit of taking 100 selfies a day to unlock my phone.
And yes I will notice it even after a month.
And no I dont want to give Apple my DNA, hair follicle or a urine sample to get into my phone either 😀
