does genius bar deals with faulty iMac hardware?

So I have an iMac (still under warranty),bought in online from Apple store.
The DVD drive has failed and does not burn discs, also the WiFi card seems to be faulty since it constantly drops connection.

I've booked an appointment at my local Apple store Genius bar,but I was wondering are these hardware issues what they deal with at genius bars,or are they just for more basic, software issues or broken iPad/iPhone screens?

it's a bit difficult taking the iMac there,soI wanted to make sure Genius bar is the place to take the iMac for service? Or should I arrange service via a different method?

You can take any Apple product to the Genius Bar for any kind of hardware or software service. If they can't do the repair in the store, they can send it to Apple for you.

Yes

Yep, they'll diagnose at the counter and either repair it on site in a few hours/days, wait for the parts to do it onsite in days/weeks, or ship it out to be fixed somewhere else in days/weeks.

Likely the second option.
