For example, if I am using 150GB of a 160GB hard drive, would this slow it down compared with being only 70GB filled?

Tallest Skil macrumors P6 Jun 18, 2009 #2 You can only notice a slowdown with 10 or fewer gibibytes free, as you said. It's a... moderately arbitrary line, but before that, there really is no noticeable slowdown.
