Will talk later

Yes

No

Can't talk now..

Freaky animated smiley face that costs $.30 to send.

What?! $0.30 to send a smiley? I didn't know that! I sent a bunch of smileys to almost half of my contacts last night

I do, I use it quite frequently, unlike you who disables it immediately upon receipt of a new iPhone. Yet you feel qualified to lecture me about it:

You are quite the educator, aren't you?

:D

Please note that at no time did I insult or attack you or others who use and enjoy SIRI.

I simply stated my preference. Period.

That's why Apple, the smart company they are, gives one a choice of using it or not.

Why you would be so offended by Apples choice is odd.

Why you would criticise me for being an individual that makes his own choices is puzzling.

Why you would attack or criticise, or accuse me of lecturing, is on you.

Aha, not just educator and lecturer but also quite the rhetor, I see :)

Trust me, I'm not offended, and to be honest, I don't even know why we're having this discourse anymore.

'Hey, Siri' doesn't work for me either.

Watch face is on, it's turned on in settings, I'm trying in a silent environment but it just doesn't work.

Holding down the crown to speak to siri works though, any suggestions?

yes

I think the screen has to be on to call Siri

What bugs me is I say hey Siri & it pops up so I start talking and then I see the thing I have to press in order to start
Sometimes I can talk to Siri without getting the press button to start

yes, but if watch is asleep and you bring it up to your face it should like (assuming that is enabled)

Are you running 8.4 beta on your iPhone? If so check and see if Siri working (at all) on it. This caused the 'Hey Siri' to stop working on my :apple:Watch until I cut on/off on the iPhone to get it working again.

If Siri has stopped working reset the Watch and then restore from the backup:

Settings > General > Reset (on Watch).

Re-pair with your iPhone and it will offer you the choice to restore from your Watch backup.

Siri stopped working for me, I did this and now it works fine on both Hey Siri and long pressing the crown.

Just some teething troubles with 1.0 software.

Hey Siri does only work if it is activated in the settings on the iphone AND MOST IMPORTANT if you raise your wirst. If you are playing on your watch and its showing the watch face, it does not work. Put your hand down, raise your wrist till the watch face is on and say hey siri - should work.

Not running the beta.

You may enjoy that method.

My answer is already stated in the prior post. :)

It's really not though. Where is a place that is neither public, nor home??
A cave?? You only talk on the phone in a cave??
I literally have no idea where you talk on the phone...
(well, I actually do... because I'm certain you're lying)
But I have no idea where you are pretending that you only talk on your phone, since your answer is NOT in the prior post... Lol, it reads more like a riddle: "I'm not in public & im not in private... where am I?"

Wow, this was bizarre. 1st day with watch. It is paired to my iPhone 6+ only.

I just tried "Hey Siri" to set a reminder to put a few things in the car for a trip tomorrow.

It went to my wife's iPad. Same WiFi network yes. But different Apple ID's and her iPad has always been her iPad. It is not some hand me down from me. Hers is newer than mine actually.

The only vague connection is that I bought it on my Apple account as a gift for her. But it has never, ever had my Apple ID in it.

Any ideas?

After init post we thought about it. We do use "shared reminders" but it only showed up on her iPad and then her iPhone. Not on my stuff at all. Seems really odd that the Watch would send my reminder to a different user?
