iPhone 16 Pro Max Does Holding Power + Volume Trigger Before First Unlock State?

Hi all,

Does anyone happen to know if the higher security Before First Unlock state is triggered when you hold the power button and the volume button together (as if to trigger a restart, but before the phone actually restarts), or does this simply disable FaceID?

I believe it goes to Before First Unlock state. I’m like 80% sure so it’s not a guarantee.

My guess is that it stays on After First Unlock. Otherwise, what's the point of triggering a restart? If there was a way to switch it back to Before without restarting, iOS would do that.

If it doesn’t restart then it just disables Face ID.
