does IM+ messenger charge per message?

    No, IM+ goes over the data network, rather than SMS.

    I believe it has been discussed quite thoroughly in one of the existing threads. IIRC, the conclusion is that the AIM app for iPhone uses data and therefore doesn't incur any SMS charges.

    but be careful. the aim mobile feature where it directs IM's to your cell phone DOES count as a text message!!!
