Does iMovie 'link' to imported clips or copy them?

hey,

Just wondering when I import media to iMovie is it copying those files taking up space or is it linking to their location on my drive?

If they're copied , does anyone know where to? Thank you!

It physically copies them into your iMovie library if you use the import media function. The location of the library file in the file system is under the iMovie folder by default and simply called, "iMovie Library." You can see its content by option clicking to bring up the menu and choose "show package contents."

That will be Ctrl click, not Option click. Or two finger click on a Trackpad.

Correct. Should have said secondary click, that's what I meant
