Dear All

Good day / evening folks

I understand that iOS 8 is approx 1 GB in size but may need 3 ~ 5 GB space to unpack etc. that's too much space on my 16GB, iPhone 5 !!

What's the best way to backup + delete some music, make space, install iOS 8 and restore the music ...

1. I have a PC with itunes (albeit ) old version installed

2. I have a hotmail / 1 drive account with 30 GB (thanks to the recent upgrade)

Tips and trick to do this with least pain / loss (either PC or 1 drive option ) are most welcome

thanks
regards

Use iTunes and upgrade from there? I'm sure I read that doesn't use the space on your device, but the untethered upgrade is so easy it's almost painful to revert to using a cable. Now, if you're running at the full 16GB already then there could still be issues I guess.

edit: never mind. I'm guessing you'd need the most recent iTunes for that to work. Must concentrate more when reading threads :(
