Does iOS maintain 3rd party account credentials, even when the app has been deleted?

For example, I had Uber app in my iPhone and I logged in. I deleted the app months ago.

Today, I installed the app and upon opening it, the app show I have logged in. I do not need to re-enter my username and password.

Does this mean that iOS maintain a list of 3rd party app account credentials?

Potentially in iCloud through keychain and/or app data if you have those enabled?

I disabled iCloud backup for certain apps, like Uber. I don't use Keychain to store web account (Safari).

I do enable iCloud Keychain because it is required for HomeKit. However, I think it doesn't store app accounts.

Yes it does this sometimes. In my case it happens with a password manager extension in one of my browsers. Nothing to do with iCloud or Keychain. I don't know why or how but it seems to be a design choice available to the developer from Apple.

I had a similar experience with an email app. I'm not sure but you may want to check what I cloud is backing up. I know that some apps still show as being set to back up after being deleted, or at least that was the case for the few days I checked...

Yah, I did. I religiously check which app is backed up to iCloud and remove the ones where I deleted the app.

Per @rjcchan above, it seems this is an option for the app dev to store account information as part of iCloud backup, regardless whether I chose to backup the app or not.

I assume this is new to iOS 10? Never saw this in previous versions.
I think so.

I usually don't reinstall app I deleted, but I reinstalled the Uber app because I got $20 credit and was surprised that after the reinstall, the app remember my account and I don't have to re-login.
