Hi people,

Have a problem with my 15 Pro Max... I can't seem to see my Sabrent 1TB SSD in my USB NVME enclosure when attaching it to phone. The LED lights up that's it.

I have no problem using it on my 11" iPad Pro (2nd Gen), no problem reading/writing to it...

Any idea why I can't see anything when I attached it to my 15 Pro Max? The LED problem indicating power that's it/

I want to use it to record ProRes video... Thanks!

P.S. My NVME is this one https://sabrent.com/products/sb-rocket-1tb
Enclosure is from Orico

Too power hungry. The port can only deliver 4.5W. iPad Pro can deliver 7.5W.
These are the details that can really impact user experience when it counts. Considering you can only record Log video straight to an external drive, being incompatible with many SSD drive due to power limits is really just Apple’s elegant way of middle finger to EU and everyone hoping for powerful USB-C port (all aspects).

Power consumption will depend on the enclosure (bridge chip) and type of SSD you installed.

so how do I check the amount of power consumption for my SSD or the enclosure ?

OK, found the fault!

It's Sabrent Rocket 1TB https://sabrent.com/products/sb-rocket-1tb this product will not connect for iPhone 15.

I swapped it out for my other NVME 2TB Crucial P3 Plus, and this one works in the enclosure!

Thank you all for your help!
