Just wondering with the updated CPU and built in co processor will the 6S automatically enter low power mode rather than manually selecting on my iPhone 6.

In iOS 9 when the phone is low on battery it pops up with the low battery notification box, but has two options now 'low power mode' and 'ok'. You choose what you want to do. Ignore it or enter low power mode

It's really just a feature of iOS 9. In the beta you can turn it on whenever you want but when you get to 20% it will ask you if you want to use it. In settings you have the option of "Battery" now and you can switch it on or off from there.

What is low power mode as in what works and what doesn't in that mode ?
In low power mode, mail fetch, background app refresh, automatic downloads, and some visual effects are reduced or turned off.
(I didn't make this up, I got it straight from the battery settings window :D )

Oh I see, so it works with ALL phones that run iOS 9?
Right, as it does with the iPhone 6 that you've been using it on. There's no automatic version of it, just the same manual one that you've been using.

Thanks. It looks like they took a leaf out of the Apple Watch book as that also has a low power mode which activates at 20%.
