I just watched the video for the new iTouch. It shows that you can play games (that look like Mario Cart!) and by rotating the iTouch around (like holding a steering wheel) you can drive the cart.

Does the iPhone do all this and more?

Yes. All the iPod Touch games work on the iPhone, but some of the iPhone apps won't work on the iPod Touch, because the iPhone has everything the (original) iPod Touch has, but not vice versa.

Go to the App Store in iTunes and click on iPhone apps. You'll see a staggering number of games.

Cool! That's the first I heard of that! I thought it was basically just a phone and iPod built into one thing. Hell, it's a PSP too!

Well since you're new to it, it's not too late for you to start calling it the iPod Touch. There is no iTouch. Or iTV. Or iAir. or iApple iIn iEar iHeadphones. You get the picture.

No, the iPod Touch now plays games like the iPhone. :D

It is the iPod touch the the 't' on touch is not upper case. Why are people so anal but don't get that right? Do we really need to quibble about this again?

Why do people get so riled up at minor things such as "iTouch"?
We all know what the poster means, just deal with it, lol.

For some ridiculous reason, seeing 'iTouch' really pisses me off. I honestly don't know why. Possibly because it sounds like the name of a pedophilia gang or something.

No, both the iPod Touch and the iPhone were officially granted the potential to play games on more or less the same day, back when firmware 2.0 was announced.
