Converting DVD's from .VOB to .M4V in handbrake, my settings are as follow:

Video:
FPS: (Same As Source)
Encoder: x264
Quality: 3500(kbps)
2-pass encoding <-- ????


Does the 2-pass actually make a difference???

The reason I ask is that handbrake keeps producing .m4v files that are unreadable??
