Does iWork have a future?

I don't think the comparison is really off. You can MS Office on Amazon for $89. To match that with Apple products you need to buy Pages, Numbers, and Keynote for a total of $60.

That is a special "home and student" edition, and yes that is not a bad deal. I know the older versions that were I think were called Professional with Outlook and all were much more.

Interesting article on Appleinsider about a cloud version of iWork for iPad.

I can't imagine web-based access to desktop iWork apps would be half as elegant as the native iPad apps, but if it means the desktop suite can resume development unshackled from the need for parity with the iPad suite, then I'm happy.
