Does jailbreaking give unlimited free 3G access?

Jailbreaking only gives you more access to your phone. You can install external apps, personalize it and so on. The data plan is carrier dependent because they're the ones allotting you your data, not the phone.
If your on at&t then there are ways to get the unlimited data plan that's "no longer available." You'll have to pay for it but it's only $5 more a month than the 2GB plan. Search the forum.
so i would probably be getting the 200mb data plan, how much "off wi-fi" access does this grant me? is it enough?

You have the internet in your hands wherever you go. Means nothing to you now because you have never had a smart phone before but come back and reflect on this in six months.

I think 200mb is plenty for the majority
I have only like 3 months in the 2-3 years total having an iphone where I exceeded it and it was largely due to netflix sprees
It's possible, I do do a lot of Pandora/TWiT streaming on the road. I'm well under 1gb/month but definitely over 200mb every month and that's without really doing much.
It really depends on how you use your phone, and your wifi environment. I have wifi at both home and work, so I hardly use 3g.
But maybe if I stream music/video, or use facetime over 3g, etc. then yeah it probably wouldn't be enough. For browsing web, twitter, games, at occasional maps gps, its more than sufficient.
Keep in mind, you can always change your data plan up or down anytime. Just try things out, download the At&t app or use *3282# to track your data usage.

You're saying you are getting the 200mb plan and then asking how much data does that get you off wifi? 200mb obviously.
And no, if you JB your iphone it doesnt mean you can use/steal unlimited data. Just whatever amount of data in your plan. But judging by your posts and questions you shouldnt be even considering JB or doing anything further than staying stock with your iphone. You dont even know the basics.
No, I'm not asking how much DATA it will give me. No **** it will give me 200mb, I never said that. Im asking how much web browsing per month that is and if (for those people that have the 200mb plan) think its enough. Also, I know HOW to jailbreak I just wanted to clear a couple questions up to determine if thats what i really want to do. Like I said this would be my first smartphone, so yeah I don't know everything.
