First there is no "Linkedin" listed in apps with access to location services. But every time I open Linkedin, the status bar shows my location is requested until I close Linkedin. It turns out that the only way to stop this is to disable "Compass Calibration" in System Services of Location Services setting. But how "Compass Calibration" has anything to do with Linkedin? Is this a bug on Apple's or Linkedin's side?

It appears so

I've also observed the Location Services icon appear every time I run the LinkedIn IOS app.

In my case, the Settings page for Location Services shows "Find my Friends" as the last user.

Something odd is definitely going on. I've raised a support ticket with LinkedIn and will wait for a few days before raising it with Apple as a concern.

I can confirm LinkedIn has no entry under Privacy/Location Services.

I launched my LinkedIn app, no location icon.

So all seems good here *shrug*
