why they are having an overnighter? to put all the Lion Ads and what not in the store, whats not making sense to you? makes perfect sense, they will also release some new device for sure, probably the Air.

Ah ha, didn't really think about that. It does make sense.

Unless they fix the power management issues, I cannot justify releasing the os on wednesday.

Totally agree Lion is just too buggy to be released. There is no need to rush it would be better if they delayed it by a few months and ironed out all the kinks.

There is no chance of it being delayed by a few months, it wouldn't surprise me if it was delayed to the end of the month though. Anyway new releases of OS X usually take 2 or 3 point releases to become stable so whenever lion is finally released expect some bugs.

Considering developers have only just been allowed to submit Lion apps to the App Store and the fact that Apple haven't announced it with 2 days to go, I don't think we'll see it until at least the middle of next week. I think Apple originally intended to release on Thurs, but have had to push it back. Aiming for the middle of a month gives them that flexibility as they can still release in July

Well I sincerely hope not. It is still looking fairly likely that it'll be released on the 14th. I'm sure 9to5mac had this all in mind when they were told by whatever reliable source that it'd be out on Thursday.

I saw that notice and the first thing that hit me was no Jul 14. Also, perhaps the rumored MBA launch that is supposed to coincide with Lion has a hiccup or two.

Doesn't matter to me as the current GM is Lion. I just want the "masses" to start screaming about all the Lion quirks so that 10.7.1 gets out sooner.
