Just curious if anyone with the dev account who is currently messing around with the new macOS can verify if it supports NVMe drives?

    Thanks!

OS X has provided support for NVMe devices since OS X 10.10.3
I infer from that, that macOS will continue with that support.

I'm talking 3rd party devices...like the 950 Pro or the newly released SM961...those NVMe I know are not currently supported natively by any Any OSX.

There is a hack that enables the use of third party NVMe drives in OS X.

Can't be a boot volume, reported not to work these days on 10.11.5.
