does Monoprice Mini DisplayPort->HDMI block USB on MBA?

For anyone with a Monoprice Mini DisplayPort to HDMI and a 2011 MBA... does it block the adjacent USB port when plugged in?

I bought a mini display to dvi and another to vga from monoprice and have no issues with blocked usb. I'd assume the hdmi is ok too.
