It does not work. For me, it crashed my springboard putting it in safe mode until I removed MyWi. Once I removed MyWi in safe mode, everything came back. At least I didn't have to restore the iPhone.

I can't get PDAnet to work in WiFi mode, either. Prior to the actual release, many people were saying that it PDAnet was working. Not or me.

Ditto, exactly the same with me (I used the no-Rock version). I guess it's just not 4.0 compatible at the moment :(

Here is a reply I received from the folks
at Rock Your Phone who make MyWi:

MyWi for OS4 will be ready soon. It's in test now.

Yes, there will be a smaller upgrade fee if you already purchased and
our server/database will know clearly whether you are a current license
holder or not when processing the upgrade.

Keep in mind that the jailbreak for the actual iPhone4 is not available
and I have no idea whether it will be a week or months.

...and I only payed for mine less than
60 days ago and I don't mind a small
upgrade fee for the work and testing
that is involved in adapting this software
for iOS4.

I mean, c'mon, the app costs $10 and
it saves people $30 a month in data fees.

Not quite. You still need the data service but it will save you the $20 tethering fee but you will still have to track usage if you aren’t grandfathered in with the old unlimited data plan, which is not available for tethering or new users.

When I bought MyWi I assumed that it was for a particular handset and I would need to buy it again for iPhone 4, so this is a pleasant surprise.

even at not quite, any way you spin the
numbers you are paying $10 for an application
that is going to pay for itself in the first month
of usage and then over and over again from
thereonin.

If I have to pay a small upgrade fee I am
certainly not going to complain.

I know that I'll be mad if I have to pay a upgrade fee since I bought this about 30 days ago.

I'd gladly pay for it many times over. Great app. Provides a great connection for my iPad.
I'm holding off on the new iPhone till the jailbreak and MyWi are released.

I'm actually holding off getting an iPad until I can get MyWi working on my iPhone.
