Does new 3gs support faster 3g speeds?

if this is true why did Apple not make it a big selling point. Then again the 3g sppeds now are just getting good. So it will be a while til 7 Mbps works like it should. Right? Someone e plain this

Yes. They mentioned in the presentation that it supports 7.2Mbps HDSPA.
