I was just wondering if the newest Thunderbolt can plug into my PC with XFX 6950.

technically Thunderbolt is just a displayport with a Data pipe line

so I was just wondering if the newest display works on my PC..

    anyone knows ?

Already been asked a dozen times here. Alas, no this isn't possible. Your only option is to buy a 2010 model with DisplayPort.

what ? you mean 2010 mac with dp works fine with ATD?

then why not my xfx 6950 with mini displayport?

    any adapters ?

should be possible, I used to think HDMI - DVI was not possible but it was.

    Hi ws00297440,

What I meant is Apple sells 2 versions of the Apple LED Cinema Display 27". The 2011 ACD27" uses Thunderbolt and is not compatible with the XFX 6950. The 2011 ACD27" uses miniDisplayPort and is fully compatible with your XFX 6950 out of the box. :)

Yah me too! I use ACD's on my custom PC's and would just as soon start ordering the latest one's available.

Does anyone have a guess if the new ACD will work with adapters/etc with HD 6970's, etc...?

    ----------

Do you think ATI's next generation PC cards would have a TB port?
