Does Panther come on DVDs?

Just a quick question, I plan to install (actually, reinstall) Mac OS X Panther on my iMac G3, but this computer will not take DVDs. So I am wondering if Panther came on DVDs, because if not then I can be sure that no matter what disk I get it will work. If there are Panther DVDs, then I will make sure to get a CD instead. Thanks for any help you can provide.

With my G4 iBook it came on a CD (two grey Restore CDs, one for the OS, one for iLife and additional *****). That was 2004.

Retail and upgrade versions were on CD. Some new computers came with the DVDs. Really you shouldnt have any trouble finding a CD version anywhere.
