Macbook's don't have Freesync or G-Sync, so whatever monitor you connect it to (assumably) - if 60hz, ends up with motion issues (different issues on every monitor I tested, only the internal retina screens are synced)

I wonder if there's some magic custom drivers that actually use the Pro Display XDR synced?

There must be, right?

No reference or discussion online that I can find tho

I'll be glad if anyone can test this for me: http://www.kaansoral.com/images/pixel2/index.html

I made this test a long time ago, on monitors without syncing, like my current Dell P2415Q and any other IPS monitor I've tested, an effect that can be described as "flashing columns" appear during the movement - moving the tab to the internal Macbook retina screen makes it easy to notice the phenomenon

So on my XDR and MP 7,1 all I see is a moving pattern, I don't see any "flashing columns," unless I don't understand what you are referring to.
