Should the search function be harder to activate?

  • Yes, make it harder to trigger. I am getting false positives.

I think you're doing it wrong. All the way? You just flick your finger, you barely have to move it.

I just didn't really like the search results laying on top of the apps. It makes me feel like I can't get to them.

You must only have one page of apps.. When you have ten youre flicking like crazy to get far left, and then to get back to the page you were on (something you seem to be concerned about) takes another ten to get back to that page.. I love the new way, I actually use spotlight now, I rarely did prior to ios7. And I'm suprised about your previous statement that ios7 is slower and less fluid than 6. Everything is flying for me, App Store is ridiculously more responsive, neurotically closing "open" apps is faster (I know, I know), safari and flipping through pages.. I haven't been lurking here in some time, is yours a common opinion?

Probably depends on which phone you're running it on. It's smooth as silk on my iPhone 5. I imagine it would be rather "droid-like" on an iPhone 4.

Nope, 5. It's pretty smooth after install, then starts to slowly get rougher-especially going from landscape to portrait in emails.

Hmmm, that's odd. My 5 is very smooth when going from landscape to portrait in emails. I just tried it out to make sure.

I think the transitions are just not ironed out. Glad it works for you, for me it gets clunky sometimes, reminds me of my old Droid X. Can you turn off the transitions?

I don't think so. I think the only thing you can turn off is the parallax effect (Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion)

Searching for the Search Bar

Depending on your opinion, it can be good and bad. I, for one, have found it both annoying and useful at the same time. It can be annoying when trying to activate Notifications Center, but save time, instead of swiping to the left lots, or pressing home button, a simple pull is handy sometimes! :)

lots of unintentional triggers in my case, and what's worse, once it's down you cannot swipe or click an icon, you have to pull it back up before continuing using the springboard. For me it's annoying.
