If not how much harder is it to reach the top on the 5/5S than the 6? I think I'm returning my 6 and getting the 5S but want to make sure I will be able to easily reach the top.

It does not work on the 5s.

Depends on your hand size. I have no problem reaching the top of the 6 but depending on your hands you might.

Crap. You think I'll get used to the size of the 6? How much faster is the 6 than the 5S? Any other big advantages?

I notice a decent enough difference for me to prefer the 6. The biggest advantage is of course the bigger screen. To be honest its personal preference.

the 5s is still an amazing phone if you prefer the screen size

Yeah I just haven't gotten used to the width holding the 6 in one hand. It's been two weeks, do you think it's possible I still could get used to it over time?

Ya my last phone was a samsung s3 very similar size as the iPhone 6 and it took a bit to get use too

Did you ever get fully used to it or is it possible it will never feel as comfortable as the 4/5?

I am slowly getting used to it. I preordered and got my device on the 18th of September so I've had it for a while. I am currently sporting the black Apple leather case so that I'm not sacrificing size and I am getting better at using it one handed. That was my biggest issue when I got the 6 coming from an iPhone 5. With the 5 I loved the fact that one handed use was second to none.

I would say it just takes time and I'm sure by next fall I will be saying that I can never go back to a 4 inch screen.

Just make sure you give yourself time to adjust to the new size and don't just immediately rule it out and run back to a 5s just cause.

Personally the iPhone 6 is very comfortable in the hand, but I've had a Nexus 4 so I'm used to the size.

To OP: I want from a 3.5" display on the iPhone 4S to the 4.7" of the Nexus 4 and yes it was a shock but you really do get used to it quick.

Well today is the last day I can return it. I'm torn lol.

I agree the rounded edges make it very comfortable, it's just the width. How long did it take?

i got used to the 6 plus in a few days. its hard going back to my 5. feels like a little toy and i can't see anything without holding it close. Im spoiled with this plus. The 6 feels just fine i don't understand the complaint for size it feels a small step up in size but doesn't affect feel much.

Agreed. I went from an iPhone 4S to a HTC One (M7) and it took me about a month before it felt normal in my hands. Muscle memory takes awhile to undo.

Do you have average/small sized hands?

By 3 or 4 days I couldn't look at my iPhone 4S display.

I am personally 6ft 3 so take it for what it is worth lol. I have big hands and the iPhone was ridiculously small in my hands, the 6 is soo much better.

Haha, I remember trying to find the power button on the top lol.

Honestly, if you're unsure this far in, (being two weeks already), maybe just return it OP.

I never got used to my note 3 and wished I'd been able to return it two months later.

I'm actually having the same debate myself, as Apple still sells the 32 gig 5S. Part of me wants to get one of those while new ones are still available and just hang onto it.

I consider myself to have average hands. I had trouble reaching the top of the screen on the 6. I have no issues whatsoever with reachability with my 5s. I ultimately returned the 6 and went back to my 5s.

I will note I will ultimately get the 6 again. I only returned the 6 I bought because I don't need a 128GB phone, and most of the apps were not optimized for the 6/6+.

Because you are deliberately buying old technology. Touch ID is worse, A7 will "feel" worse when iOs9 will be coming out (and i don't even want to talk about iOs 10 [or iOS X?:)]), camera is slightly worse , screen is meh (i know i know, you want it smaller, but smaller screens are in the past). Believe me.. a year from now you're going to regret it and will end up spending a lot more money. Better adapt sooner than later.

The 5s is the phone of the future. It still has 64 but architecture that has not yet been utilized and everything is formatted for the 5s primarily.

The 6 is an experiment.

Isn't the note 3 way bigger?
