Im in the market for a new color laser, as my other one just ran out of color toner, so it is probably the same price to replace the printer as it is to replace the toner. I am looking at the cheapest color lasers out, becasue thats all i need.

Right now i have the minolta 2300dl. Its ok, but i hate the warm up time, and it does not print well on glossy paper. So does resolution matter? I like the xerox 6120, but its resolution is only 600x600. My resolution now is 2400x1200..i believe..

But then again i remember reading somewhere it really isnt the resolution anymore, its the droplet size. Which printer should i go with? Any suggestions? Im looking at the sub 300 color lasers..

I still have an old Apple personal laserwriter NT. It only has 300dpi, but print text very crisp! It only has difficulties with pictures. Then is 300dpi much to low. So it depends on what you are doing with, if you also printing pictures with it (or documents that has pictures in them) and you want them to be of good quality, then you need a lot of dpi. Otherwise, save some money and go with a lower dpi laserprinter. Also things to consider are which type of paper it uses and how expenses the toner is and how much you can print with it. Else you buy a cheap printer, which ends up costing you much more because you need more expensive paper and toner.
