I haven't tried this in a long time, but just tried today and it's not working.

From Apple's Siri page, you're supposed to be able to, "Ask Siri to remind you about something you’re looking at in apps like Safari, Mail, Maps, and Notes."

Not sure if it's just not working on the iOS 12 beta or even those running 11.4 are seeing this.

I guess I never used it much so don't have enough data to know whether it used to work consistently for me or not

Yeah it seems that this feature, with email specifically, requires exact semantics to make it work.

I was trying to help my wife figure this out the other day because it’s a really useful feature especially for those of us who practice inbox zero.

If I remember correctly, it’s “hey Siri, remind me of this email on month, date.”

If you say “tomorrow” instead of the date, it won’t work. If you say “remind me of this” instead of “this email” it won’t work. If you say remind me on month, date and include the year, it won’t work. At least that’s my experience. It’s really strange and I’m sure it’s a very specific bug that doesn’t get reported often and is quite low on their priority list.

That's interesting. Maybe I'll give it another shot, now that dev beta 8 fixed my other major beta bug.

Just tried using your suggestions and still no luck, unfortunately. Ugh Siri.

Same here. Honestly when this feature launched I was so excited as I could really use it many times per day. But it never worked well.

Just tried a few variations with an open email:

Here’s an example. Granted, I held down the button instead of saying hey Siri. Not sure if that makes a difference.
