iPhone 14 Pro Max Does startup chime work for you?

I have the toggle set for startup/shutdown sounds in Accessibility/Audio section, and I hear it fine when the iPhone is shutdown. But when I turn it on, I get a haptic vibration, but no sound. Is the startup chime sound working for you? Am I doing something wrong?

Yes I get a chime when turning it off and also on (on a 14 Pro if that makes any difference).

@Vazza are you turning it on by pressing the button on the right side of the phone or some other way I don't know about?

Yep just switching on using the power button on the right.

Just tested this on my 14 Pro Max and I am getting the sound at shutdown and startup (iOS version 16.0.1).

I’ve left everything default except for turning on the shutdown/startup sounds toggle.

I'm getting a haptic feedback when I switch it off, but nothing when powering on. No sounds at all. Maybe its an iOS 16.1 beta bug?

Hmm so it’s not related to iOS version then as that’s what I’m on.

@bbfc no, I don’t have silent mode on. Plus for me it works on shut down.
