Does “suggest less” in news do literally anything at all?

Ever since it first existed years and years ago, I have religiously said “suggest less” on literally EVERY instance of football.
Typically multiple times a day.

I also suggest less on at least 90% of any sports related things and block football topics.

Yet still, every single day; football football football. It drives me insane.

Has anyone ever seen “suggest less” actually work?
