Yes, unless you buy some $90 sim cards off eBay for $29 each, then transfer the balances to your account. 4 x $29 = $116 for $360 value.

I saw this on ebay a while back, but hesitant to do. How easy was the funds transfer? You need both accounts info and pin, correct? Can you do it on the phone? Or you must speak to customer service?

I have the $30/100 minutes/5gb pre-paid plan, and wifi calling definitely IS NOT working. Oh well. That's the sacrifice for paying $116/yr for service.

EDIT: I stand corrected. 8.0.2 must have reset the wifi calls option in settings. I do have it! :)

I have this same plan. Does using the wifi calling deduct from the 100 plan minutes?

Yes it does. I just verified this using the T-Mobile app to display minutes used before and after the WiFi call.

You will need the DOB for each sim card as well. The seller doesn't provide it, so you will need to physically go to a T-mobile corporate store with the sim card's phone # and PIN and have them add your DOB. Then chat with a rep online and have them transfer the money to your personal account. Pretty simple, awesome value.

I did this as well but no DOB was required! why did they ask you for DOB info? I transferred 2 cards from the seller terrares on ebay.

The reps have been using DOB to confirm that you are the owner of the accounts. Most reps ask, some forget.

thanks.

if it uses the minutes, then whats the use of wifi calling.

It's not supposed to replace your minutes, it's supposed to be used where you don't have good cellular reception, but you have wi-fi. i.e. in cities where T-Mobile's cellular penetration sucks in buildings.
