11 Pro Max: 52mm | f2.0 aperture

12 Pro Max: 65mm | f2.2 aperture

I've read some reviews saying the f 2.0 is more superior than f2.2. Is that accurate?

That basically means that the 11PM allows a little more light than the 12PM but there's more to it than just that. Since the iPhone will at some point use the normal wide lens and crop in lower lighting, this means that this will happen a tad sooner on the 12PM.

But in good lighting you get a closer zoom as well as better focusing due to the LIDAR so I've seen examples of where the 12PM 2.5x takes better pictures.

That is just a single characteristic of one lens compared but by far not the only component of image quality. I believe the 12 Pro Max has a longer focal length in return.

I have both. I find that telephoto lens on 12 PM is better.

Don’t forget that on 12 PM, the 2.5x telephoto has better stabilization than any other iPhones, including 12 Pro. So while the f-stop is slightly worst, it makes up for it in stabilization.

Same. Been comparing my green and blue 256's.

How much better is the 12PM comparing to 11PM?

It is like buying an updated DSLR. The difference is not mind blowing rather a number of incremental improvements resulting in overall, a definite plus.

it’s the little things and they add up. I am finding the 12 is definitely better than the 11.
