Does the 17e case perfectly work with 16e?

Hello.

I am going to buy a case for my son's 16e, however that model only supports 17e but he loves it a lot.
Anyone can confirm if the 17e case fits 16e?

Everything I've read is that they're the exact same dimensions and compatible, and should fit each other. Most 17e cases support MagSafe with an embedded magnetic ring. But the case should still fit, though no fast charging with 16e.
