Does the 2010 Macbook have the thunderbolt?

I looked at the 2011 macbook and i looked at my 2010 macbook and the inputs look the same so will thunderbolt work if i bought an external hard drive that support thunderbolt?

No. Thunderbolt has been first released in 2011 and is only for the new MBP yet.

Not a big deal anyway, there are very very few devices on the market right now that utilize Thunderbolt anyway. In the furture when everything catches up like external HDD's it will be way worth it more so than if Apple had installed eSata on their Mac line.

I have not played with one connected to a TB accessory, but I have been reading that it is really fast for the stuff that is out already.

An external HDD wouldn't take advantage of that much speed anyhow, so it's kind of a bust.
