As in the subject according to me the iphone 7 should have the W1 chip so it can pair with the new Bluetooth headsets... any confirmed reports... sorry if I missed it out.

I know that but Want to know if the iPhone has a W1 chip as well as its not really mentioned anywhere.

The phone doesn't need the W1 chip, it has bluetooth. The W1 chip, from what I understand, makes the headphones easier to pair with a compatible iPhone and help with battery life on the headphones.

Is there a reason why you think the iPhone needs a W1 chip?

Yes better quality of sound!

The headphones use Bluetooth. The W1 chip just manages the wireless connection which in turn improves the battery life and ease of connection. Any benefits to sound quality are simply because the W1 chip is helping manage the bluetooth connection.
